Precision Balancing has recently launched the first in a series of technical educational videos highlighting the basics of industrial balancing.
Featuring operations manager Jeff Leahy and technical consultant Keith Sherwood the first video in the series explains the main difference between ‘Static” and “Dynamic” out of balance, and how this can be corrected. Static and dynamic out of balance is uneven mass distribution around the rotational axis of the rotating object.
With the aid of a working model and some real in factory footage Precision Balancing highlight how a rotating object behaves in an out of balance state, and how by either adding or removing weight in a specific location we can minimise this behaviour, and bring it into a state of balance, as determined by an international standard.
The video is the first in a series, with the next edition, “On Site” Balancing the next to be released.
